教堂 is an important part of student eng年龄ment at ETBU and a required element for all undergraduate students (See the 教堂信贷政策 below). All the 教堂 programs are designed to nurture our spirit as individuals and as members of the ETBU community. 作为基督的跟随者, we recognize the privilege of gathering for corporate worship w在这里 we may express to God our dependence on Him; hear and respond to the Word of God; grow in our understanding of the Christian faith and offer our heartfelt praise. 教堂学分要求, 教堂 is held on Monday and Wednesday, with some special programs on other days. 教堂 provides community worship experiences for the campus family. The purpose of 教堂 is to encour年龄 a thoughtful passion for Jesus Christ, 使学生, 教师, and staff together in an atmosp在这里 of inspiration and instruction. Programs not oriented toward worship contribute to the accomplishment of the University Mission, particularly in the area of the integration of faith and learning.

Every student enrolled in 12 or more hours (full-time student) is required to attend 22 教堂 services per semester to receive credit for 教堂 that semester. Responsibility for making sure the 教堂 requirements have been met and duly recorded rests solely upon each student. Students arriving late for 教堂 will not receive credit for that day's 教堂 service. Regardless of the number of semesters of enrollment at 东德克萨斯浸会大学 or the number of hours taken each semester, 每个学生都必须获得至少一个教堂学分. Please note: 教堂 attendances are not cumulative over multiple semesters.
Consideration is given to students with special circumstances related to the regular 教堂 schedule, 比如7-11小时的入学, 只参加周二至周四和/或夜间课程, or being a Level 1-4 nursing student whose clinicals schedule conflicts with 教堂 (as approved by the 迪安 of the Teague School of Nursing). A form must be completed for a student to be granted a 教堂 Reduction, 这些不是自动授予的. Students granted a 教堂 reduction must attend or make up 10 教堂 services. Please note: students involved in clinical teaching are exempt from 教堂.
